The Steps

Step by Step
  1. 01

    Sunscreen & Primer Base

Apply a coin-sized amount of lightweight sunscreen evenly all over your face. Add a thin layer of oil-control primer on areas prone to shine, and let it set completely before moving on to base makeup.

Pro tipOily skin types can layer an extra half-coat of primer on the T-zone.

    Lightly Pat On Cushion Foundation

Use a cushion puff to pick up a small amount of cushion foundation, then pat gently from the center of your face outward. Blend the edges seamlessly into your natural skin tone — avoid heavy coverage that masks your skin’s natural texture.

Spot Conceal & Set With Loose Powder

Use a thin concealer brush to dab a small amount of concealer on blemishes or redness, then blend out. Finally, use a large fluffy brush to dust a sheer layer of translucent powder only on the T-zone, keeping the natural glow on your cheeks.

    Fill In Fluffy Natural Brows

First, comb your brows upward with a spoolie. Use an ultra-fine brow pencil to fill in gaps following your natural hair growth direction. Extend the tail slightly without going too far past the outer corner of your eye, then brush up with brow gel to set the fluffy, hair-like texture.

Pro tipGo light at the front of your brows to avoid a harsh, blocky look.

    Sweep On Light Brown Eyeshadow

Use a large eyeshadow brush to pick up a light milky tea brown shade, tap off excess, then sweep a thin layer all over your upper lid. Run the brush along the outer half of your lower lash line, staying within the eye socket for a soft, eye-brightening effect.

    Soften With Brown Eyeliner

Draw a thin brown liner along your lash line, extending the tail just 2mm outward in a natural, straight line. Skip thick, sharp winged lines to keep the look soft and gently defined.

Curl Lashes & Apply Thin Mascara

Curl your lashes in sections from the root upward. Apply a thin coat of black mascara from root to tip, keeping it to one layer to avoid clumps. Lightly brush through your lower lashes as well.

    Soft Nose Contour

Use a small contour brush to pick up light gray-brown powder, tap off excess, then lightly sweep two soft lines along the sides of your nose from the bridge to the tip. Keep the center of your nose bright — avoid harsh, obvious lines.

Pro tipGo light — it’s always better to build up gradually than apply too much at once.

    Light Face Contour

Use a contour brush to pick up gray-toned contour powder, tap off excess, then lightly sweep and blend under your cheekbones and along your jawline. Dust a little along your hairline to soften your facial contours.

    Brighten With Shimmery Highlighter

Pick up a small amount of sheer pearlescent highlighter, and dot it on the middle of your nose bridge, above your cheekbones, on your brow bone, and at the tip of your nose. Gently pat with your fingertips to blend — avoid large swathes to keep the glow natural.

Use a blush brush to pick up light peach blush, tap off excess, then sweep diagonally across your apple cheeks. Blend the edges seamlessly to create a natural, lit-from-within flush.

    Sheer Glossy Lip Color

Start with a layer of lip balm to prep. Apply a sheer layer of mirror-finish peach-pink lip tint to the inner part of your lips, then blend outward with your finger for a natural glass-lip effect.

    Set With Setting Spray

Hold the setting spray 20cm away from your face and spritz in an X shape. Let it air dry naturally — don’t touch your face — to help the makeup blend in for a sheer, long-wearing finish.
