The Steps

Step by Step
  1. 01

    Prep with Sunscreen

Apply a thin layer of hydrating primer all over the face, pressing it into the T-zone and areas with visible pores. Follow with a sheer sunscreen, and wait until it sets before applying foundation.

  2. 02

    Base & Conceal

Blend out a warm-tone cushion foundation using a damp beauty sponge, focusing on covering blemishes and dark circles. Keep the center of the face sheer and lightweight to avoid a heavy, mask-like finish.

  3. 03

    Set Base with Powder

Dip a large fluffy brush into translucent powder, tap off the excess, and lightly sweep it over the T-zone and under-eye area. Keep the cheeks dewy to avoid a flat, matte finish.

    Natural, Feathered Brows

Fill in sparse areas with a gray-brown eyebrow pencil, keeping the arch soft and not too sharp. Brush upward with a brow gel along hair growth for a natural, feathered look; avoid overly thick brows.

Pro tipIf you have light-colored hair, choose a brow shade one level lighter than your hair for a softer look.

    Eyeshadow Base

Use a large eyeshadow brush to apply a light milky tea shade all over the upper and lower lids, extending 1mm above the crease to create a base for deeper shadows.

    Deepen Outer Corners

Use a medium eyeshadow brush to pick up a reddish-brown deep shade, blending from the outer corner toward the center of the lid for a gradient effect. Blend the same shade onto the outer third of the lower lash line to enhance eye definition.

  7. 07

    Brighten Under-Eye Aegyo Sal

Use a small highlighting brush to apply an off-white matte brightening powder along the aegyo sal, keeping the area directly below the center of the eye. Avoid making it too wide, as this can look puffy.

Pro tipDo not extend the highlight past the outer edge of the pupil, as this can make the aegyo sal look unnatural.

    Extend Eyeliner

Fill in the tight line with a dark brown kohl pencil, then extend the outer corner upward along the eye shape by 5mm for a natural wing. Avoid thick black eyeliner.

    Curl & Set Lashes

Curl lashes in three sections with an eyelash curler, then apply a lengthening mascara to both upper and lower lashes. Keep them separated and clump-free for a natural, fanned-out look.

    Nose Contour

Use a small angled brush to apply a gray-brown contour powder, sweeping two thin, narrow shadows from the eye socket to the tip of the nose. Keep the front of the nose bridge highlighted to avoid overly wide contouring.

    Face Contour

Use a contour brush to apply product below the cheekbones, along the jawline, and at the hairline. Blend well for soft, seamless edges to sculpt the face and create a sleek, slim look.

    Add Highlight

Use a shimmery highlighter on the high points of the cheeks, brow bones, nose tip, and cupid's bow. Keep the highlight small and precise to avoid an overly shiny look.

    Peachy Blush

Use a fluffy blush brush to apply a peachy-orange blush, sweeping from the apples of the cheeks toward the temples. Build up the color lightly for a fresh, flushed, slightly tipsy effect.

    Glossy Lips

Start with a lip balm to prep lips, blot off excess oil, then layer on a grapefruit-toned mirror lip gloss. Add an extra layer on the cupid's bow for a full, glassy lip effect.

    Set & Lock Makeup

Spray a hydrating setting mist 20cm away from the face all over, then gently pat until absorbed. This helps the makeup last longer without disrupting the natural dewy finish.
